Hey there! I’m Ang. A creative designer, writer and strategist with over 16 years of marketing experience, shaping ideas into something meaningful.
This space is about more than marketing. It’s where creativity, strategy, and real life intersect. From big-picture thinking and brand direction to design and storytelling, everything here is created with intention. Never just to “look good,” but to connect.
Whether you’re here for inspiration, clarity, or collaboration, you’re in the right place.
Welcome!
who are we without our stories?
who are we without our stories?
Stories live everywhere.
In the lives we’re building, the families we’re raising, and the work we put into the world. Stories appear in words on a page, in the way a brand looks and feels, in the memories we choose to preserve, and in the ideas we choose to share.
As a self-published author and creative strategist, storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. Through writing, visual design, and thoughtful concept development… and my favourite, through humour.
This is a creative space.
A place to take inspiration, explore ideas, connect, and collaborate.
Where does one begin to share their story? Something tells me this section will be continuously updated, because let’s face it, it’s not easy trying to explain who you are. So for now, let me give you some tidbits about me (and you can decide if you want to stick around).
Google will tell you I’m a Millennial, but my heart will tell you I am Gen X.
I like repetition. And what I mean by that is I love things that are familiar. I’ll watch the same movies over and over, hoping to recapture the magical feeling I had the first time. The same goes for music.
If you see me walking down the street with my dog, I promise I am not ignoring you. I have my headphones (see, Gen X) in my ears, the volume on high, with a podcast, an audiobook, or Jackson Browne blaring.
As Jude Law’s character says in The Holiday, “I’m a major weeper,” meaning, I cry a lot. Books, movies, music, a story and when the moment just feels perfect. I weep.
I quote movies on a daily basis. I can’t think of a day that has gone by when my husband and I haven’t conversed through movie dialogue.
I lost my mom to cancer when I was 13. She was my favourite person in the world. I talk to her every day. Her name was Betty.
The only good thing I can say about losing my mom is that it has helped me enjoy motherhood more than I could have ever imagined.
I reside in Barrie, ON, Canada, with my incredible husband, darling son and rescue dog, Cleo (short for Cleopatra).
Began my career in marketing in my mid-twenties as the Marketing Manager for a burger chain in Ottawa, ON (and yes - I still love a good burger)
Acted as the media spokesperson on dozens of local media TV and radio segments (even writing and recording the radio ads)
Was a lead planner on a multitude of events, including wine and food shows and galas with 700+ guests in attendance (being bold, assertive and well-organized is my jam)
Began freelancing as a social media manager with an agency when Twitter was hot (and still Twitter) and Instagram was just for sharing what you ate for dinner
Moved cities and went back into events as well as wedding coordination and planning (100+ weddings/events in the span of three years - you should have seen my step count)
Became a mom (THE best role I’ve ever had) and went back into freelancing for social media coordination, photography styling ( I can make anything look good) and marketing consulting
Hosted two podcasts that both charted in the top 50 business podcasts in Canada, co-hosted an online business community (teaching over 100 students Instagram strategies) and ran an online marketing membership for small business owners
Wrote and self-published my first of two children’s books and have since self-published 10+ more titles
I continue to work with businesses in marketing and creative design while striving to, one day, write full-time (ok… but like, part-time hours) for a living.
